Members of The Fellowship leadership have been working together over the last 20 years to promote a liberating theology of radical inclusivity while providing technical assistance to emergent congregations on how to apply their theology to an effective and sustainable social ministry. As The Fellowship network continues to grow rapidly, our annual events become increasingly important not only as training institutes, but also as community building opportunities which support and empower religious leaders as we continue to break down the walls of mainstream theology and social practices. The leadership of The Fellowship is extremely knowledgeable of, and sensitive to, the specifics and unmet needs of the African American community. Many of the current leaders and Board Members themselves have lived through, and recovered from, the issues, which our community now faces: accordingly, they have a great investment in ensuring the most culturally appropriate and effective programming for the communities in which The Fellowship seeks to serve.
